Principal’s Message

A man with short brown hair and a beard smiles at the camera.

After graduating from Redmond High School, I completed my Bachelors of Science degree in Geography from Western Oregon University and then a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Oregon State University.  I completed my student teaching at Elton Gregory during the 2009-2010 school year!

I then moved to Hermiston, OR for my first job teaching middle school social studies and language arts and coaching baseball.  When I had the opportunity to move home and serve the community that I benefited from growing up, I jumped at it!  I moved back to Redmond and taught 6th grade at EGMS and for 3 years before becoming the first Dean of Students at Elton as well as the head baseball coach at RHS.  I then moved to Redmond High as the Dean and after a year into the role as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for 4 years before becoming the principal at Vern Patrick Elementary in 2023.  Similar to the jump I made moving back to Redmond, when there was the opportunity to lead Elton Gregory, I knew that would be the right move.  Elton has always felt like home.

I want to build strong relationships and partnerships with all of our families in order to make Elton a school where all students can have a positive experience, learn, and thrive.  Together, we can make this the best school year yet!
