Hometown: Newberg, Oregon

Favorite Activities: Fishing, camping and watching my kids in sports/activities

My wife and I both grew up southwest of Portland. We both taught 5th and 6th grades in the Sherwood School District before moving to sunny Central Oregon with our children in 2006.

Throughout my time in Sherwood I coached high school basketball for Sherwood, Southridge and Beaverton high schools. After teaching 5th grade at Sisters Middle School for one year, I became Dean of Students in addition to teaching 7th and 8th grade math and coaching middle-school basketball. After teaching for 17 years, I took my first administrator job at Tumalo Community School, where I was principal for the last nine years.

I joined the Elton Gregory team to support our students, staff and community during the 2021-22 school year.  We will be continuously working to improve our academic programs and strengthen our positive school culture.  My goal is to build strong relationships with our students along with promoting and developing high academic and behavioral standards at EGMS. GO HUSKIES!
